An Exciting New Winery Opens in Whatcom County

The debut releases from Dakota Creek Winery are now available at local area wine shops, Anthony’s Hearthfire Grill and at all Haggen Foods in Whatcom County.
Ken and Jill Peck established Dakota Creek Winery with the goal of producing affordable artisan wines for distribution in Western Washington. This boutique winery is located in the shadows of the Cascade Mountains near the scenic shores of Puget Sound, just three miles east of Blaine, WA. Dakota Creek Winery specializes in producing limited quantities of premium wines made with hand picked grapes from premier vineyards in the Yakima Valley, Wahluke Slope and Columbia Valley appellations of Eastern Washington.
The 2005 vintages include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, an Oaked and an Unoaked Chardonnay, and a very special charity blend called Firefighter Red. For the 2006 crush they added an Evergreen Vineyard Pinot Gris and an Elephant Mountain Vineyard Viognier.
